- Who we are
Gimme AI operates the website at gimme-ai.net and the companion chat experience presented on it. In this policy, “Gimme AI”, “we” and “us” mean the operator of that site; “you” means any adult visitor or member.
- Scope of this policy
This policy covers information handled through gimme-ai.net and the Gimme AI companion chat. It does not cover third-party websites you reach through links on our pages, each of which has its own policy.
- Age requirement
Gimme AI is intended only for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from minors, and any account identified as belonging to a minor is closed and its data deleted.
- Information you give us directly
This includes the email address used to create an account, any display name you choose, preference settings, and the content of the messages you send to a Gimme AI companion.
- Information collected automatically
When you load a page we receive standard technical data: IP address, browser type and version, device category, operating system, referring page, and the pages viewed with their timestamps.
- Cookies and similar technologies
We use a small number of cookies to keep you signed in, remember interface preferences and measure aggregate traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, though sign-in will stop working if you block essential ones.
- Why we process your data
We process data to operate the service, keep conversations continuous between sessions, prevent abuse and fraud, respond to support requests, meet legal obligations and improve the quality of Gimme AI.
- Legal bases for processing
Depending on your location we rely on performance of a contract with you, our legitimate interest in running and securing the service, your consent for optional cookies and marketing, and compliance with legal obligations.
- Conversation content
Messages exchanged with a Gimme AI companion are stored so the conversation can continue where you left it. They are associated with your account and are not published, sold or made available to other members.
- Automated processing
Companion replies are produced by automated systems. No human being reviews your conversations routinely; limited access may occur where required to investigate abuse, resolve a technical fault or comply with the law.
- Data we never ask for
Gimme AI does not request government identification documents, financial account numbers by email, medical records, or information about your religious, political or trade union affiliations.
- Service providers
We share limited data with vendors who host our infrastructure, deliver email, provide security tooling and produce aggregate analytics. Each is bound by contract to process data only on our instructions.
- International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country. Where that happens we rely on recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision covering the destination.
- Advertising and marketing
We may email you about your account and, if you opt in, about service news. Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately.
- Third-party links
Pages on gimme-ai.net contain links to external destinations. Once you follow such a link you are subject to the privacy practices of that destination and this policy no longer applies.
- Data retention
Account data is retained while your account remains open. Conversation history is retained until you delete it or close the account. Technical logs are retained for a limited period for security and diagnostics.
- Deleting your data
You can clear individual conversations at any time from within the chat. Requesting closure of your account removes your profile and associated conversation history from active systems within thirty days.
- Backups
Encrypted backups may retain deleted content for a short additional period before being overwritten in the ordinary backup cycle. Restored data is never returned to active use for a closed account.
- Security measures
We use encryption in transit, access controls limited to staff who need them, isolated production environments, and monitoring for unusual activity. No online service can promise perfect security.
- Data breach handling
If a breach is likely to affect your rights we will notify the competent supervisory authority and, where required, affected members, describing what happened and what we are doing about it.
- Your access and portability rights
You may ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you and, where technically possible, receive it in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Your correction and erasure rights
You may ask us to correct inaccurate data or erase data we no longer have a lawful reason to keep. We respond to verified requests without undue delay.
- Objection and restriction
You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and ask us to restrict processing while a dispute about accuracy or lawfulness is resolved.
- Withdrawing consent
Where processing relies on consent you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew.
- California residents
If you live in California you may request disclosure of the categories of personal information collected and the purposes of collection, request deletion, and are protected against discrimination for exercising those rights. Gimme AI does not sell personal information.
- European and UK residents
If you are in the EEA, Switzerland or the UK you have the rights described above under the GDPR or UK GDPR and may lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.
- Do Not Track
Browsers send Do Not Track signals in inconsistent ways and no common standard exists. Gimme AI does not respond to those signals but limits tracking to what is described in this policy.
- Accessibility of this policy
This page is written in plain English and is available in full without creating an account. If any part is unclear, contact us and we will explain it.
- Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves. The date at the top of the page always reflects the current version, and material changes are announced on the site.
- How to contact us
Privacy questions and rights requests can be sent to hello@gimme-ai.net. Please describe your request clearly so we can verify your identity and respond accurately.
